FUNDING POSSIBILITIES

school climbing wallsWe have had an amazing variety of funding possibilities used to complete wall projects. The most popular sources include being PTA Direct Funded / School Funds, ‘Awards for All’ Applications and ‘Grounds for Learning’. Other ingenious ploys include climbing the height of Everest in a Day as a ‘fit for life’ sponsored day where each child climbed to the top of the school stairs until the magic height was reached – impressive. Some schools have also received outside sponsorship or contributions.

school climbing wallsAnother avenue is the RBS Supergrounds scheme – an iniative backed jointly by Grounds for Learning and The Royal Bank – to improve  Primary School play areas.  Why not build a wall as part of a project of overall improvement to the schools’ outside spaces ?  See our Links page for the website address.

A great fund-raising method to involve the kids, get them active and teach them about our countries highest mountains is the ‘Three Peaks Challenge’ - already a successfully used method of raising funds. Put simply, a School’s pupils climb the height of the three highest mountains in the UK in a day. Ben Nevis 1344m, Scafell 978m and Snowdon 1085m. That’s a combined height of 3407m. So, as the wall is 6m high each pupil in a 203 role school would need to complete 3 difficult climbs each to complete the challenge. If each pupil raised £20 in doing so that would be £4060.00 raised !!
For this purpose only we hire out our mobile wall at a cost of £200 + VAT + Travel. This is £650 OFF Normal Rates for day hire ! Obviously we can only offer this exceptional rate if you are committed to building a wall for your pupils and it can easily be paid from the money raised.
It’s a win, win solution as your pupils get a great active day on a brilliant facility at the school – good publicity -  and you raise funds for your new playground Traverse Wall.

Whichever source is best these walls when compared to other playground additions are superb value for money.
